Softening Hearts, Seeking Repentance

 THEME: EXODUS FROM EGYPT

TOPIC: OUT OF EGYPT I CALLED MY SON

BIBLE CHAPTER: HOSEA 11

💡REFLECTION:

Dear Lord, today I humbly request that you soften my heart.

I extend my sincere apologies for my frequent stubbornness and hard-headedness. I am sorry for not taking ownership of my faults and often avoiding them. If there are moments when I turn away from You due to material distractions, I am sorry. I acknowledge that at times I may appear as a wayward child, not heeding Your call. I apologize for my imperfections and transgressions.

Yet, amidst my flaws, You remain the consistent Lord I have known since the beginning. Your steadfastness endures despite my shortcomings. Your mercy and forgiveness, boundless even for someone who has sinned throughout their life, are a testament to Your unchanging nature. You've never made me feel like a terrible sinner; instead, I feel welcomed and loved by You. While justice will prevail in the end, You have assured me of a place in Your kingdom, long before I reach that point. Who am I to reject Your offer? Who am I to turn away from Your unwavering, selfless love?

I am profoundly grateful. Your kindness and patience, unaffected by fleeting emotions, make You a God of incomparable grace. Lord, teach me to be as patient as You are. In my continual mistakes, guide me to demonstrate love and respect for You. I appreciate the humility You instill in me through repentance. Please, Lord, lead me in complete turning away from my sin and true repentance. Amen.
