Sinner Seeking Redemption

 THEME: EXODUS FROM EGYPT

TOPIC: REMEMBERING THE EXODUS

BIBLE CHAPTER: PSALM 78

💡REFLECTION:

In spite of all this, they kept on sinning… This verse resonates deeply with me in every aspect of my life. I acknowledge my constant inclination towards sin; I resist obeying God and harbor doubts, despite His kindness towards me. Truly, God is a merciful and forgiving entity. Even in our sinful state, He welcomes us with open arms, ready to forgive all our transgressions through a simple act of repentance. God's mercy knows no bounds, and seeking redemption and repenting assures us entry into His kingdom, regardless of the extent of our wrongdoing. We are all invited to share in His paradise.

Psalm 78 recounts the Exodus to demonstrate God's power and kindness to His people, emphasizing that obedience to His commandments is the key. While adhering to the law may be challenging, God believes that all, regardless of their sinfulness, can be His disciples.

I've come to realize that the laws and commandments were not created for God's benefit but for our salvation. They serve as our guide to living a holy life, and ultimately, God, our creator, legislator, and final arbiter, holds the authority to judge us.

Lord, I am grateful that You continually show me the depth of Your love for your creations. Despite our flaws and the harm we cause, You grant us chances for redemption. You have made Your laws and decrees a priority, guiding us back to You when we lose our way.

In gratitude, I say, "Thank You for calling a sinner like me to draw closer to Jesus, allowing me to know You more as I gradually distance myself from a sinful existence."
